Volunteers will teach English and assist with community development projects in China.

Teaching English is the most popular subject, but the programme is also welcome the other subjects such as music, IT, arts and other languages. You don't need to have formal training or speak Chinese language to teach during a volunteer vacation. You just need a respect for the local cultures and a heart big enough to love the children you teach.

The school you will teach in is a public middle school with kids 11 to 18 years old. Although they are in Beijing, they have limited funds to employ the native English speaker teacher, their English grammar might be advance level but the oral English just in beginner. In the rural area, the students have limited opportunities to practice their English, you will be the guide to introduce the world in the other side. To teach these students, textbooks are provided but teachers are encouraged to be creative in their lessons and activities.

The Easy English language centre you will teach in is a small class with kids 5 to 13 years old. Their parents send the kids to the centre for improving their oral English in a good English atmosphere. Volunteer will be amongst colleagues who speak English. Regardless of their level of expertise, they’ll likely be keen to practice their English conversation skills with you. Not only will you have new friends, but your coworkers can help you navigate the area and its customs better than any guidebook.

The volunteers will sent to the schools for English speaking/listening programmes. Some of them will be the special programme teachers, such as for the disables and learning difficulties students.
